About Us
Our founder, Loren J. O’Toole (1930 - 2013), began the O’Toole Law Firm in Plentywood, Montana in 1955. Born and raised in Plentywood, Loren attended Gonzaga University and then Georgetown Law School. Loren married Joanne Slavin in 1955 and together they raised seven children: Larry, Kevin, Michael, Patrick, Scott, Catherine, and Mary Joanne.
Loren was very active in the practice until his retirement in 2012. He was on the Board of Directors of Northern Oil & Gas, a publicly traded company, until his passing in December 2013.

About Larry
Larry returned to his hometown to practice with his father, Loren, in 1981. Larry is admitted to practice in Montana State Courts, United States District Court in Montana, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, United States District Court in North Dakota, and the Fort Peck Tribal Court.
Larry’s work experience includes extensive work before the Montana Board of Oil & Gas and litigation in all courts. His general practice includes estate planning, commercial law, and real estate transactions.
He is the husband of Carol and proud father of Thomas and Caitlin.

About Logan
After graduation in 2020, Logan began working as an attorney at the O’Toole Law Firm of Plentywood and Scobey. He is also the Daniels County Attorney residing in Flaxville, MT. He is licensed to practice law in both Montana and North Dakota.
He is the husband of Kimberly and proud father of Leo.
